28 дек 2004 г. - Cannabis and KYNA

Описание:

Exogenous cannabinoids such as cannabidiol or Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol are known to stimulate IDO enzyme activity in dependence of cannabinoid receptor activation [120]. This stimulation, together with the pharmacological inhibition of the kynurenine 3-monooxygenase (KMO) enzyme [123] may enhance endogenous KYNA levels indirectly, through the kynurenine pathway, which will result in an enhanced reduction in NMDA receptor activity via the antagonizing effect of KYNA.
