Proclamation of 1763 the Proclamation of 1763 makes it so the Americans can not go past the Appalachian Mountains because the Native Americans owned that land . This made the Americans mad so they broke the rule and went past the mountains to buy and sell land.
The french and Indian war The French and Indian war was the French fighting the British for America. The French were winning in the begging. Then in 1757 William Pitt became prime minister. He was a great military planner. William Pitt lead Great Britian to victory.
Sugar act The sugar act made Americans have to pay less for taxes on stuff like sugar and molasses and it reenforced payment for taxes so it would be hard to get away with not paying for it. It also taxed foreign goods like sugar, certain wines, coffee, and more. So it made the colonist mad and made them get closer to thinking about fight back.
Townshend acts The Townshend act imposed the duties on glass, lead, paints, paper, and tea imported to the colonies. People did not like it so the Parliament repealed all the acts except the one on tea.
Tea act It let the British east India company tea. The colonist did not like it so they did the Boston tea party. After they did the Boston tea party they got punished and had to pay for the tea.
Boston massacre the colonist were throwing stuff at a British troop. So more British troops can to solve the problem. Then the troops began to shoot the colonist and killed 5 people. So the British troop in charge was arrested with manslaughter.
Boston tea party Patriots boraded ships full of tea and threw the tea off. Then the British sent the navy and closed the docks. then They punished patriots and made them have to pay for the tea.
Battle of bunker hill The British and colonists fought at Bunker hill. British won in the end. Also the Americans took a good amount of people from the British and that gave them hope.
Declaration of Independence The Declaration of Independence says that the colonists don't wont to be a part of great Britain because they have been treated badly. Also the want to be their own country. The British did not agree with this so the the United States had to Declare their Independence from Great Britain. Britain did not argee with this so they fought a bit more still.
