Description:
When the town of New Ulm heard of the attacks. Their men built a barricade. The Dakota attacked at about 3 pm, with about 100 soldiers. After 2 hours the Dakota break off the attack due a rain storm. When the governor Alexander Ramsey, heard of the attack he sent Henry Sibley to go after the Dakota. Sibley’s army is made of mostly untrained civilians.
