-Humans and armadillos are only known natural hosts
-Transmission is through nasal droplets
-Prefer cooler temperatures so effect extremities
-2 types of leprosy
-Tuberculoid leprosy and lepromatous leprosy
-Multi-drug treatment established in 1982 and reduces the cases and has dropped by 97% since then.
