Kansas-Nebraska Act (17 h 40 m, 30 mayo 1854 año – 14 h 13 m, 30 mayo 1884 año)

Descripción:

The Kansas-Nebraska Act used popular sovereignty to let people of Kansas and Nebraska decide whether or not to be a slave state or a free state. Also, the 36/30 lateral line of the Missouri compromise was repealed. This is because both Kansas and Nebraska were north of this line. Northern abolitionist and southern slave owners rushed to Kansas and Nebraska to vote for what they wanted.
