Last updated: March 5, 2026

Overview

TimeGraphics School Accounts are designed for US K-12 schools, school districts, and educational institutions. School Accounts provide enhanced privacy and data protection features that meet the requirements of FERPA, COPPA, SOPIPA, and state student data privacy laws.

Privacy-by-default features

  • Private timelines: All student timelines are private by default — not visible to the public and not indexed by search engines
  • Teacher/admin control: Only school administrators or authorized teachers can change timeline visibility to "Shared by link" or "Public"
  • Restricted profiles: Student profile information is visible only within the School Account
  • Controlled comments: Comments on student timelines are restricted to School Account members by default
  • No analytics tracking: Google Analytics 4 is disabled for School Account sessions — no tracking cookies are set

What we do NOT do with student data

  • No targeted advertising to students
  • No behavioral profiling
  • No sale or rental of student data
  • No disclosure to third parties except essential subprocessors (see Subprocessors)
  • No use of student data for any purpose other than providing the educational service
  • No retention of student data beyond what is necessary for the educational purpose
