Haudenosaunee Confederacy (1 янв 1400 г. – 1 янв 1776 г.)
Описание:
The Haudenousanee Confederacy was an association of Six Aboriginal Nations (Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, Tuscarora) from around the 15th century until 1776. They agreed on instituting an oral constitution known as The Great Law of Peace, the primary principles of which were division of powers among various branches of government, equal participation by citizens, including women, and establishment of rights and freedoms, including freedom of speech, religion, and rights of the individual. These principles specifically relate to the principle of liberalism known as Individual Rights and Freedoms. The Constitution of the United States actually looks remarkably simimlar to The great Law of Peace in mutiple locations, showing that the writers of the constitution took inspiriation from the Haudenosaunee and the contributions they made to classic liberalism.
