The formation of the Federal Trade Commission was created under the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Administration. The FTC's goal is to create a vibrant economy by supporting a competition and consumer access of accurate information to the public. Another one of the FTC's goals is to prevent the public from any unfair, deceptive, and anticompetitive business practices.
