Fall 2017 SGA Budget Submitted
SGA Budget Hearings
Date Auction group chat is created
You introduce a flyer another organization use as inspiration for ours
Still talking about how to name the event
I told you to look for more options than just Bento and warned you of how little amount of time you had left to prepare the event
Ideas to do the dinner more complicated that it needed to be were brought up because you didn't want to do it buffet style
I explained the guidelines set by SGA and how the dinner had to be open to everyone not just dates. I insisted that you look for more options for the catering and provided input on how you should run the dinner
Due to the hurricane it was decided to postpone the event
I requested an update and brought up what was your fundraising goal
You thought it was a good idea to discuss SGA funds with chapter when the only person aware and knowledgeable about it is me
I asked again, any updates on catering
Rahul presents the first proof of the PR
You presented this great deal for catering with Bento which was actually a raffle
Zach presented a catering option that appeared to be cheaper
Zach comes up with the idea of having a Deepher hosting our event
I requested another catering update (IMHO you were obsessed with the idea of having Bento, always had a good argument for it, even when other places seemed better)
Philip brings up the fact that you needed to submit a diagram for the event including set up and any work orders. Again, I insisted on an update on catering. The event was set for two weeks from the day I asked and I asked you to contact NSU Catering or get an estimate from Bento or any other place.
Zach told you you needed to work on a script for the hosts (that was the condition DPhiE gave for letting one of their sisters host the event) and work on a better questionnaire for contestants. The first issue with the script started here (you said we needed the questionnaires to create a script but we insisted that people would sign up the day of the event, essentially fucking up your script.
You were asked if the Bento order was placed and I requested an invoice. You said you would place the order by Tuesday (Oct 10)
Philip brought up that Nova was being a bitch about the work orders we requested (they said we submitted them late so they wouldn't do them)
Zach requests for final details. I asked for the Bento invoice again. You had not completed the questionnaires yet. I got everything in order with the Student Accounts office to ensure there was no issue with the fundraiser.
Finally received an invoice
You say you are still working on the script. I ask for a PR update since we had barely promoted the event
I was still working on getting the invoice approved by the school and told you who were helping me the day of the event collecting money
Philip brings up the fact that we weren't promoting the event and asked for someone to go and meet with Mercedes (marketing office director) to request a quick fix of the error of the time being shown in the flyer. No one spoke up and he tagged you, Zach, and Rahul, so I ended up going and doing it myself.
I request all the specifics of what you want to buy (this due to trying to get SGA to pay for it) and I told you I needed it by noon, if not our budget was not going to be amended and we would end up paying for everything ourselves (after you sent it I barely had time to prepare the budget since I had to work on what you sent me and it was very close to 12, the time I asked you was the deadline)
I asked again what was missing and what was missing to ensure we were ready for the event. Zach brought up how we would run the dinner instead of the whole servers idea, just make it a buffet
You finally finished the script (took you two weeks), let us know we were good with Bento, and you sent me the estimates for all the extra items we needed to get
I brought up Kappa SIg's website on Military Heroes Campaign and how we should actually talk about this charity and how they aid veterans
We go to Walmart to get the supplies
The day of of, I kept insisting to make sure we were all aware of what needed to be done to ensure we were prepared for the event. I kept going over the logistics of the event and having everything in place in time.
This is when I mentioned the whole thing with the plates. After Date Auction was over I was not pleased how you were trying to make it seem like you had done everything and had planned everything when clearly we had to be on top of you for everything and to make sure everything was set and ready. So you just expecting things to happen at this point I was really done with it. You didn't like what I was saying, Adrian stepped in when he had contributed absolutely nothing and that was the end of the story.
The event was getting close so I asked you to prepare an estimate with NSU catering on their online form. Proof 2 of the PR was presented
