Pascal’s calculator was a mechanical calculator invented by Blaise Pascal in 1642 and was known as the first automatic calculator, only being able to do addition and subtraction. Numbers would be entered by manipulating its dials. It seems that Pascal invented this machine for his father who was a tax collector.
