Star-Lord, the nickname of the lifetime Ravager Peter Quill, tracks down the orb, an artifact that holds the power stone, one of the 6 infinity stones on a planet called Morag.
After obtaining the orb, he quickly runs into Korath the Pursuer and Sarkaan mercenaries.
Peter Quill barely escapes their grasps and gets away with the orb, which he is looking to sell.
Quill tells Yondu he no longer wants to be a Ravager, and Yondu puts a bounty on his head.
