Weyerhaeuser graduated with honors from Yale University in 1949. He initially worked as a logger where he worked his way up that chain where he became the Weyerhaeuser Company's CEO and their ninth president

He constantly advocated for environmental issues and the impacts of forest management well before it became popular practice. He basically started the trend for a strong forest management system where strict reforestation would be practiced after foresting an area.
