Some time before this year, a group of dances of -as Wikipedia states- 'several Afro-Cuban dances from the Santería religion' were found to have similar foot work to the Cha-Cha dances that some people though might have influenced the Cha-Cha. At this time, most people in Cuba knew about these people.
