The Eucharist, the body and Blood of Jesus Christ in the form of bread and wine, was instituted on the Last Supper. On this night, Jesus took the bread and the wine and blessed it and gave it to his disciples. The Eucharist use to only be received by the mouth but now it can be received by either the hands or mouth.
