In 1922, Niels Bohr created a theory for a hydrogen atom that is based off the quantum theory that energy can be transferred, but only in a strict defined quantity. The electrons move in a certain pattern around the nucleus. The electrons can move from their original path, but they lose energy in the process.The electron gives off a small spark of light.
