According to the Torah the Exodus occurred at around this year. In the Exodus Moses led the Jews out of Egypt, where they were enslaved, he lead the Jews to the "promised land" that god promised them. While on the journey to the promised land he was given the Ten Commandments on top of Mount Sinai.
