Description: The Declaration of Independence was a document adopted by the Continental Congress, which officially statement the broken ties between England and the colonies.
Causes: This declaration was due to Great Britain excessive and unreasonable taxing as well as the King’s overall mistreatment and limiting regulations that he had over the North American settlements.
Historical Impact: The Declaration of Independence stated that the thirteen original colonies were collectively the United States of America and this marked the beginning of the U.S. being a liberated country under their own rule.
