31 дек 1772 г. - Boston Tea Party
Описание:
In a move to help the British East India Company, Parliament passed the Tea Act. This law gave the company the right to sell their tea in America without paying normal taxes. On the other hand, colonists had been smuggling tea in order to avoid paying these taxes. Although the Tea Act would make the tea even less expensive than smuggling tea, it would be driving the American tea merchants out of business. Therefore, the colonists, especially tea merchants, protested by throwing tea into the Boston Harbor.
