Reorganization Act
Описание:
This was the native American's version of the New Deal. Brought about by the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, John Collier, it ardently sought to reverse the forced assimilation which had been in place since the Dawes Act of 1887. This encouraged native Americans to establish their own local governments in order to preserve their traditions and crafts. 200 tribes took part in creating new governments.
