Description:

Brutal millitary expeditions brought in wealth, lands, booty, slaves and tribune. A charming, strong and tactical genius. With only 7 peacefull years between 714 and 814 Charlemagne fought more then 50 campaigns and became the greatest warrior of the early middle ages. He fought battles he justified as spreading Christianity. By 805 the Frankish kingdom included all of northwestern europe, except scandinavia and england. He was good at keeping the wealthy aristicrats (Franks most powerfull group) as friends and gave land in exchange for help and manpower.
