Seven Years War (may 17, 1756 – feb 15, 1763)
Description:
The Seven Years war began as a territorial dispute in the American colonies between France and Great Britain. Eventually it escalated as France and Austria, historic rivals, joined together in a grand alliance to cap the power of Great Britain and Austria. Most European nations were drawn into what is sometimes called World War 0. Prussia gained some new territories in Europe and Great Britain gained all French holdings in North America east of the Mississippi river. The war also bankrupted England and France, leading indirectly to the American and French revolutions.
