Tuskegee Study (mar 16, 1932 – jan 8, 1972)
Description:
-Followed 399 men with syphilis and 201 that didn't as controls
-To see if there was a difference between what happened to black men vs white men
-No treatment available when study started
-Men were told they were receiving treatment, no informed consent
-Even after penicillin became available the men weren't allowed to get treatment
-After the study was brought to light the study was finally ended in 1972.
