English Civil War (sep 27, 1642 – jun 28, 1651)
Description:
Was an armed conflict between loyalist, King Charles I, and Rebels. The rebels with the help of parliament, defeated Charles and he was executed for treason. England was turned into a commonwealth nation which was soon replaced by a new monarchy. Marked a new turning point in English history.
