John Calvin's Geneva (feb 15, 1555 – may 27, 1564)
Description:
From 1555 to his death in 1564 John Calvin ruled Geneva, Switzerland. He ruled with very strict religious policies, and executed many people. He even banned all arts, except for music, and even then, he banned instruments, which is one example of his very strict rule.
