1 Clement, 69-95 AD (jan 1, 69 – jan 1, 97)
Description:
Traditionally, this letter is dated to the late 60s or early 70s due to certain internal evidence about some of the Apostles still living and Neronian persecutions being a past event.There's also a long standing tradition that dates the letter to a narrow date of 95-97 AD due to the references to the church of Rome facing persecutions, which is thought to possibly be a reference to the end of Domitian's reign, or the start of Nerva's.
