Description:
During this time, the plague first appeared in Hawaii and then they appeared in San Francisco. Their Chinatown was quarantined and the Chinese people had to stay while the white could come and go. The plague then hit San Fran again in 1906 and LA around 1924-1925. The plague today is concentrated in the Southwest and the last urban epidemic was in 1924-25. So, worldwide there were about 1,000-3,000 cases a year and according to WHO, the plague is a reemerging infectious disease.
