John Brown's Raid on Harpers Ferry (oct 16, 1859 – oct 18, 1859)
Description:
John Brown attempted to try and end slavery by attacking the federal arsenal at the Harpers Ferry. On October 16, he and his group were seized quickly. So, less than 36 hours later, his mighty mission to abolish slavery ended with his capture. A court in Virginia later sentenced him to death.
