Maui's visitor industry grew much stronger throughout these years from the development of many resorts, such as the Aston, Grand Wailea, the Kealani, Hyatt regency, Maui Marriott Resort, and The Westin Maui. Off-shore investments from Japan and other foreign countries fueled the construction of these world class resorts.
