Sugar Act (jan 24, 1764 – may 22, 1766)
Description:
The Sugar Act was Vetoed in 1766 and replaced with the Revenue Act of 1766, which reduced the tax to one penny per gallon on molasses imports, British or foreign. This occurred around the same time that the Stamp Act of 1765 was Vetoed.
