French and Indian War - The war lasted for 7 years - England won this war - England went into debt - Colonist was heavily taxed - Colonist didn't like the fact they had to pay them when they already did what they were supposed to do - Colonist protested - King George made it to where you were only allowed to pay taxes for tea. - Later on they didn't like being taxed on tea. (jan 1, 1754 – apr 16, 1763)
