Boston Massacre - Colonist started protesting - They created a big scene - The redcoats (British Army) were armed and started killing people for protesting - Killed 5 people
Boston Tea Party - Protested by colonist in Boston - Didn't like being taxed on tea - Boston Patriots dressed as Mohawk Indians and got on ships and dumped 342 containers in the Harbor
First Continental Congress - 56 Delegates from every 13 colonies except for Georgia met - This meeting was held in Philadelphia - The meeting was so they could colonial rights - They talked about the Coercive Acts - Talked about the new taxes

Thomas Paine writes “Common Sense” - A pamphlet advocating independence from Great Britain to people in the Thirteen Colonies - It holds morals and arguments to encourage common people to fight for the egalitarian government. - Held arguments such as independence from England and, the creation of a democratic republic.
