The Reformation Becomes Established (1530–1546) (jan 1, 1530 – jan 1, 1546)
Description:
After the Augsburg Confession in 1530, the Lutheran side kept growing. In 1531 the princes formed a group to protect themselves, and in 1534 Luther finished translating the whole Bible into German.
He wrote another statement of his beliefs in 1536, and more areas became Lutheran in the late 1530s.
Attempts to fix the split with the Catholic Church failed in 1541, and the Catholic Church began its own reforms in 1545. Luther died the next year, in 1546.
