Arbogast (aug 29, 388 – sep 9, 394)
Description:
Arbogast operated in Gaul to defeat Magnus' Maximus' son, Victor. After Theodosius returned to the east in 391, he appointed Arbogast to oversee the rule of Valentinian II. Played a prominent role in the rule of Valentinian II's successor, Eugenius. Committed suicide after losing the Battle of the Frigidus.
