Korean War (jun 25, 1950 – jan 1, 1953)
Description:
The Korean war was fuel by the fact that the United States and Soviet Union split the country in 2 along the 38th parallel. With the Soviet Union running a communist government in the North and the United States running a democratic government in the South. The war began due to the 2 superpowers claiming that their government was the only government needed for the entire peninsula. As the North began to invade the South, war officially broke out, and ultimately the United States won. Just going to show how serious the United States was about containing communism. And again, the war sparked more tension between the Soviet Union and the United States.
