A new president (jan 1, 1948 – dec 31, 1950)
Description:
The new elected president was Juan José Árevalo Bermejo, he expand the conditions for the participation of popular politics such as the free organization of social parties and organizations, press freedom and the right of suffrage conceived for women and illiterate but with a debt to the indigenous peasant because more than a half don´t have land to cultivate.
