Description:
Jacobo Árbenz Guzmán assumes the presidency, he orden great infrastructure works and promotes the industrialization of the country (Guatemala), he implements a history of agrarian reform and makes a substantial change in the forms of land exploitation. Árbez expropriates foreign companies especially the United Fruit Company, also the cultivation fields are respected no matter their extension and those that are not used or do not use them well are expropriated. This revolution was supported by teachers, students, workers militaries and politicians but these new measures implemented causes the conspiracy of the united states, The CIA orchestrated a coup with the support of the local government and the Catholic Church, this make that the best achievements of the revolution gets down.
