Tet offensive (jan 30, 1968 – sep 23, 1968)
Description:
The Tet Offensive was the turning point in the Vietnam war. The Tet started on the Vietnamese new year, Tet, and pushed the Americans back out of North Vietnam, and attacked South Vietnam simultaneously, which crippled American efforts. The North Vietnamese used tunnels and guerilla warfare to turn the tables and put the Americans on the defensive.
