Vilayet of Prizren (jan 1, 1868 – jan 1, 1877)
Description:
Prizren Vilayet existed from 1868 or 1871 to 1877 (6 years). It was created by joining the Sanjak of Prizren together with the Sanjak of Dibra, Sanjak of Skopje and Sanjak of Niš into one vilayet.[7][8] In 1874, the seat of the vilayet was moved to Pristina.[9] In the late 19th century it reportedly had an area of 18,320 square miles (47,400 km2).[10] It became part of the Kosovo Vilayet, which was established in 1877.Added to timeline:
