Description:
Dorthea Dix played a major role in the reform movement. Dorthea Dix took a part in expanding hostpitals for the mentally ill. She questioned, why the mentally ill cannot be cured. Dorthea's aim was to provoke fair and equal treatment of the ill. It is believed that she had been pushing for better treatment, partly because she was potetnially neglceted by her parents
