The power of the German Empire leads the European nations to form alliances. France, Great Britain, and Imperial Russia become allies on one hand, and Germany and Austria-Hungary on the other.
When the heir to the Austrian- Hungarian throne is assassinated in Serbia, his country threatens Serbia and is in turn threatened by Russia. Germany has to help Austria-Hungary, but knows that she will be attacked by Russia’s ally, France.
Germany therefore attacks France first.
Great Britain declares war on Germany, and Russia goes to war against Austria-Hungary and Germany. Most battles take place in Europe, although soldiers come from Canada, Africa, Australia, India, and New Zealand to fight.

In 1917 Russia leaves the war but America joins the Allied Powers, helping them to win. According to the peace treaty, Germany must
pay for the costs of the war.
The horrors of the First World War cause many nations to form an association to keep world peace. Eventually, the United Nations is formed. At the end, all nations will desire a one-world government led by the Anti-Christ.
He will promise the end of war and suffering.
