Description:
Now, twenty years later, the world’s population lives in ignorance and all those who seek to speak out or investigate are immediately silenced by any means necessary. Research into advancing technology has slowed to a crawl and a majority of funds are flowed into detaining and experimenting on Unnaturals.
The phrase “ignorance is bliss” couldn’t be truer when applied to the daily lives of humans, even if one can remember a time before their fellow humans were locked up and tortured, a majority submit to the propaganda and lies. Many truly believe that they're really helping their friends and family by reporting them, as well as protecting themselves against them.
All journalists who try to speak out against the government or question the treatment of their powered cousins are marked a threat to the state and silenced by any means necessary.
The few uncaptured Unnaturals hide themselves from society and often friends/family, fearing being reported. Some join gangs such as the Running Dogs to seek vengeance against their unpowered cousins.
