Description:

The Whiskey Rebellion was a large scale protest on the Whiskey Tax of 1791. It involved the United States government and protesters primarily in western Pennsylvania. Washington collected an army and put the rebellion down. This is important because it showed that the US was able to enforce its laws under the COnstitution.
