Battle of Stalingrad (jul 17, 1942 – feb 2, 1943)
Description:
Historians considered this battle to be the greatest turning point of the entire war. The U.S.S.R was able to stop the German advance into the Soviet Union. Germany took a defeat that they never quite recovered from, losing a large number of soldiers.
