Operation Torch (oct 1, 1942 – may 1, 1943)
Description:
American troops and allied tanks at points in Morocco and Algeria. They fought east across North Africa. They met up with British forces in Tunisia. Rommel's forces surrendered to the Allies. It was a huge victory and from then on the Soviet army began to move westwards toward Germany.
