Formation of the Confederacy (dec 20, 1860 – jun 8, 1861)
Description:
After much controversy with Lincoln recently elected to office and a mostly Republican congress slave state felt that Abolition within the U.S was near. Most of the southern state, who had become prosperous through the injustice of slavery, decided to do something to about it. From December 20, 1860 to June of 1861, South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina Seceded from the U.S and formed the Confederate States of America.
