Operation Torch (23h 20min, nov 8, 1942 y – 2h 44min, nov 10, 1942 y)

Description:

While the Battle of Stalingrad was taking place, Churchill and FDR decided to invade North Africa so that they could be prepared for an invasion of southern Europe. Dwight Eisenhower took Allied and American troops and tanks to Morocco and Algeria where the leader of the Afrika Korps (A Nazi division focusing on Africa) eventually surrendered. This choice weakened Nazi forces and shrank their sphere of influence, putting the Allies a few steps closer to victory.
