College and Work (jan 1, 1945 – jan 1, 1949)
Description:
Went to Carnegie Institute of Technology (presently Carnegie Mellon University)
Almost flunked his first year of college but he received help from a professor.
He took summer classes to compensate and worked with his brother selling fruit. He practiced drawing people who passed by their fruit truck.
He taught art classes at the Irene Kaufmann Settlement during college.
