The Cold War (feb 7, 1946 – apr 30, 1986)

Description:

After the Second Great War, the Comintern and the Allies became very suspicious of each other. The 80 year period afterwards is known as the Cold War, although the 2 sides never actually declared war on each other. Instead, they stockpiled Nuclear Weapons, and fought Proxy wars, the two most important being the Korean War and the Vietnam war. Germany was split into two different countries, one of which was communist, and the other one being Capitalist. The German Democratic republic, the Communist side of the country, was closely allied to France, and controlled eastern and southern Germany. The Cold war ended when Robert Hue was elected as French Prime Minister, as he began to open up French borders again, and ended the isolation the Comintern had largely endured throughout the Cold War.
