Beginning of the Martian-Human Threat
(1950's-1970's) (18h 18min, jul 1, 0 y – 17h 21min, oct 1, 0 y)
Description:
In this time period we had the first sighting of the martian threat. Humans had to gather resources to prepare for this threat, including sending people to explore the terrain.
Improvements in technology allowed for the first colorized images, although still retaining the grainy, unsharpened quality from the era before. The martian threat also led to campaign posters. A new advertising technique involved cartoonized, more saturated images to pop out and recruit humans. In order to appeal, there was an adventure theme for these posters.
