Berlin wall (jan 4, 1961 – jul 4, 1989)
Description:
It parted between East and West Russia. People built escape tunnels to get to the other side. Many people risked their lives to get to the other side. They called the space between east and west the death strip.

On the night of August 12, 1961, East German authorities blocked access to West Berlin. The Berlin Wall was built immediately afterward.
